Nasal FluMist will not be offered at SF Bay Pediatrics this Fall 2016

Due to the inefficacy of the nasal FluMist and the ACIP recommendation not to use FluMist this Fall 2016, SF Bay will only offer flu shots to our patients 6 months and older this year. You can find more infomation about the ACIP recommendation here.

The American Academy of Pediatrics urges parents to limit cell phone use of children and teens. A recent animal study by The National Toxicology Program suggests a link between radiofrequency radiation and tumor development.

Zika Virus Warning - Public Health Travel Advisory for Pregnant Women January 2016

The local Department of Public Health is announcing a travel warning for all pregnant women to avoid travel to South America, Central America, the Caribbean and any place where Zika virus is circulating. The Center for Disease Control website has a section on Travelers Health which provides up to date information on the Zika Virus.
